Common Issues
Project Won't Load
Possible causes:
- File format issues
- Corrupted project file
- Missing dependencies
Solutions:
- Try repairing the project (see Project Maintenance)
- Check file extension is
.album3d-x - Ensure all source files are accessible
Images Not Displaying
Possible causes:
- Missing project source files (e.g. photo.src.jpg; see SRC files in the Search dialog), original source files (see ORIG files in the Search dialog), or slide files (e.g. photo.jpg.slide)
- Unsupported formats
- Path issues
Solutions:
- Check that source images exist in the
srcfolder - Verify image formats are supported (jpg, png, bmp, webp)
- Try re-importing the images
Performance Problems
Solutions:
- Reduce quality settings (Main Menu → Quality)
- Close other applications
- Update graphics drivers
- Check system requirements
Crash Recovery
Album3D maintains backup copies of your projects:
- Backup files are kept in the
_Album3D_backup_files_folder next to your project. - You can restore from a backup by copying a chosen backup file, renaming it to a standard
.album3d-xproject name, and opening it. - Behavior of any automatic save or crash recovery features may vary by build; always save regularly.
Reporting Bugs & Getting Support
Before You Report
- Note what you were doing when the problem occurred
- Check if it happens every time or only sometimes
- Take a screenshot if possible
Information to Include
- Album3D version (from License tab in the main menu)
- Operating system (Windows or macOS, including version)
- Where you purchased Album3D
- Step-by-step reproduction steps
- Any error messages
How to Report
- Go to album3d.com/contact to open a support ticket
- Include the information above
- Attach screenshots or recordings if helpful
